Crafting EasterFor my feature this week I didn't want to do something usual and predictable - I wanted to do something a little different. Get people to think a little "out of the box" and hopefully inspire them and their artistry in some way.Crafting Easter by =WeAreABeautifulMess
I think a lot of people, including me, unconsciously overlook the "artesian craft" portion of deviantArt and of the art world in general. With all this new (and amazing) technology, photography and digital art are on and have been on an obvious rise, and crafts seem to be a bit (more) than overshadowed by it. Although miniatures and plushy creations are on the rise, they only represent a tiny fraction of all of the great things there are to see. I need to remind myself to stop and observe more of the amazing craftwork made by many amazing artists on this site - there is so much I just don't see. Because there sure are A LOT of amazing deviations in the Artisan Craft category.
